Alternatively, you could also walk up to the lake along the road. However, we recommend taking the trail through the forest instead. There, you hike on beautiful natural paths through green scenery and reach the mountain lake along one of the most idyllic sections of the hike.
The route along the Albula Pass road is less recommended, as the Albula Pass is heavily trafficked, especially during summer.

Both options reward you with an impressive view of the lake and the surrounding mountain landscape.
